Overview
Prompt Engineering Studio ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we process, how we use it, and your choices. This site is a client-side demo that connects to Google Gemini APIs using your own API key stored in your browser.
What We Process
- Local Data (on your device): your prompts, run history, theme, and Gemini API key are stored in your browser’s local storage.
- Network Requests: when you run prompts, requests are sent directly from your browser to Google’s Generative Language API.
What We Do Not Collect
- No server-side storage or databases for your prompts or outputs.
- No third-party analytics trackers embedded on these pages.
API Keys
Your Gemini API key is stored only in your browser’s local storage and sent with API requests to Google. You can remove it at any time in Settings. Keep your key private and rotate it if compromised.
Use of Google Services
By using Gemini, you agree to Google’s applicable terms and policies. Generated content and request data may be processed by Google in accordance with their documentation and terms.
Data Retention
All history and settings are kept locally until you clear them via the UI or your browser. We do not retain your data on a server.
Your Choices
- Clear history and settings from within the app.
- Remove the API key in Settings.
- Use your browser’s privacy tools to clear site data.
Children’s Privacy
This site is not directed to children. Do not use the service if you are legally restricted from doing so.
Changes
We may update this policy. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date above.
